DONATIONS: The Mustard Seed’s Warm Feet on the Street Campaign

Auburn Bay's Ambassador Club comprised of 4th-grade students, has organized a project for The Mustard Seed’s Warm Feet on the Street campaign. It was decided that this would be a project for the students in grade 4 as a way for them to give back to our larger community and warm the feet for those less fortunate this holiday season.

I have volunteered our class to help sort the items donated by the 4th-grade students and their families. We will also be joining the students in the Ambassador Club when it is time to assemble the socks. Last week Thursday was our first sorting session. We talked about who the items were for and why students and families brought them to school. We had a great time searching for specific items as we went through the sorting process.

I will like to extend an invitation to the families in the SKILL class to donate items for The Mustard Seed’s Warm Feet on the Street campaign. The dollar store is a great place to find travel-sized items to put in the socks. There is no need to purchase socks, as they have been donated by a parent. The deadline for donations will be Friday, December 13th.

Please see the link below for a list of suggested items (nothing alcohol based i.e. mouth wash or food items please) to fill the socks.
