Cold Weather Guidelines

As the cold weather is upon us, the following are Auburn Bay School's cold weather guidelines.

1.  We will stay in if it is colder than -20 degrees outside. The wind chill will be taken into account.  So if it's -15 degrees but -23 degrees with the wind chill, we will stay inside.  This decision is made around 11:00 a.m. ALL STUDENTS are still asked to “dress for the weather” every day, as there may be emergent needs to go outside and to be safe when traveling back and forth to school.
2.  The following are precautions to take in -0 to -20 degree weather:
     - Students must be dressed for the weather (cold-weather attire).
     - If students let an adult know they are too cold, they will be taken inside for
a couple of minutes to warm up and then sent back outside.
